Im sick and here with a sick missionary been thinking alot of what will come in a couple months. Being released, possiblity of going back to utah to visit ppl within a short time...
May is here tomorrow. 5months to go.
I feel exhausted mentally and physically. Tomorrow we were suppose to have a baptism but he never made it to the interview. The area that im in has a lot of latinos yet none want to listen...its depressing.
Members dont have time to help majority work like crazy. A week ago two houses down from me around 11 pm SWAT showed up. I wasnt surprised it looks like either a brothel or crackhouse. Other than that the weather in utah is crazy and its driving me nuts, sunny day n in 2 hours later there are a lot of thunderstorms.

SUSHI and BIRTHDAY WEEKEND
Wow this has been one the best birthdays in my life ... So far..
this past week has been tough, a huge learning experience...
and yeah..
On Saturday a RM came back from the mission, he and i became friends quickly. it was pretty interesting knowing that i have about a 1 year left of the mission and seeing a welcome home party. it made me think, it didnt make trunky. it made me kinda sad knowing that i wont be a missionary anymore, for some reason i just feel that the mission is ending for me... because this year has gone by really quickly that this next round it will go even more quickly. Im loving the mission even more because of it.. of the knowledge i have gained for my own life...
That night was pretty awesome as well and i got to talk to one of my friends, it was uplifting :D
i answered the phone at a members house eating breakfast there and then...
hello? didnt hear anything... then i asked who is it.. "ITS YOUR MOM"
lol
that was pretty funny and good. it made my day better, especially what happened the night before :D
i have a feeling who gave her my number... but at the same time i didnt get i got to talk to my family real quick.
Sunday.. [background story first. I met this couple in my ward.. , gabriella burrola she lives here in utah,and her boyfriend, Greg Stanger from LA area is going to UCR. i gave him the number of a buddy- Allen Auman, since he isnt a member and is planning on attending YSA Riverside 1st. She gives me a self made birthday card, it was pretty sweet cause it said that they are going to get me a CD i wanted to get one time i saw them at FYE.] they are a pretty sweet couple
Somehow the youth knew it was my birthday... when i just told two families, i guess they gave them the heads up. it felt nice.
I happened to See a Couple I met in the LA temple when Junior Kaleopa went to get his endownments..last year.. it was awesome, they recognized me, and we talked for a bit...
Later i saw another good friend i have met on the mission he happened to go to my ward.. lol
After i went to OGDEN, to go baptize the father whom i am good friends with. my last companion elder baquedano baptized
his wife. The baptism was awesome!! It was a pretty good birthday present.
I returned to Kaysville to have my birthday dinner at the MARIN family home. To eat empandas de argentine. it was so good.
Then ended the night with a good Ice Cream Caramel Cake,
IT was a pretty good birthday...

A MIRACLE BAPTISMAL DATE
a 18 young woman, wants to get baptized, she has heard majority of the lessons and decided to get baptized.. the spirit was so strong, the way she held herself was pretty amazing, how an 18 year old girl already knows that the church is true and everything,
We taught her for the 1st time yesterday and her baptismal date is for this saturday! A baptism this saturday!!!!!!
So yeah im excited for this week. we already had pretty good lessons last night...
this week im getting general conference tickets so i can take my investigators. im super excited for general conference. going there is just a spiritual experience....
my companion gave me a cd.. it was pretty nice.. KATE NASH..

man i love this area. I drink ALOT of MATE now, not like my last Areas.
1st saturday = baptism!!!!!!
its was the most spiritual baptism i've had on my mission. The family were Jehovah's witness', they are super amazing.
we had breakfast with them yesterday, the wife is hilarious.
There arent so many mexicans. there are alot more variety. Chileans, Argentinians, Porteguese, Uruguains, Colombians. Peruvians
We saw alot a members at a farewell party spoke to alot of people, its was super awesome.
My companion talks in an argentine accent. And now im starting to get one, well in the process of obtaining one since majority are argentines,
Im also learn how to speak in vos... The old castellano..
vos everyone speaks in vos.
My bishop is de Buenos Aires, Argentina and he wants to help in the missionary work; which is pretty sweet.

There are alot of Youth in the Ward and we happen to get along with them. They are all cool with us, not like my last areas.
1st corelation with ward mission leader = While planning, we were drinking Mate (argentine tea) and eating bistec a la pobre ( steak and a egg)
ward mission leader = bro gallegos.
born in chile, lived in argentine family is from spanish. he's has a son on the mission, i met his son while i was in the mtc.
He and his wife are looking out for us and baking us bread so we can eat while we drink our mate.
Family Marin = Argentinos. The wife shes super hilarious.The daughters are chill.The 15 year old daughter is such a airhead my comp and i just tease her about it.
I think she has a crush on my companion.
There are alot of young men that have recieved their mission calls and its just amazing how happy they look about serving a mission, it made me think of my feelings of going on a mission. They are soon leaving in sept.
My companion well, my last companion Elder Baquedano just called me last night telling me that the family that him and i were teaching they want us to baptize them and they are getting baptized on my Birthday!!!! its an awesome present i can recieve. So ill be happy going back to Ogden for a Baptism.

im TRULY STOKED for the MISSION!
so i have a friend that referenced me to a guy that just got back in december from the same mission and he told me this in a message from facebook.

Ogden is like little Mexico and it's way more ghetto than you'd expect, so you'll definitely see some crazy things there, but you'll also meet some really prepared people straight from Mexico. Don't think that just because you're in Utah, everyone's heard of the church. We met and baptized a guy who'd been living directly across the street from the stake center, but had no idea what the church even was. There are alot of jack mormons and antis, but they are reallly just funny more than anything and strengthen your testimony. Other perks are the members, don't be surprised if you get paid for when you go out to eat, or you get your groceries paid for, or if you're just walking down the street and someone pulls up next to you and hands you a 20 dollar bill....not that that's what being a missionary is all about, but I'm just saying, it happens...alot. The members really are amazing and they look after the missionaries. You will also get fed alot. Most areas have hook-ups, like restaurants where you can eat for free, but luckily there are also gym hook-ups where you can work out for free so you don't gain too much weight. The hispanic members are the most amazing people you will ever meet and I guarantee you will love them right from the start. They will take you under their wing from the moment you arrive. You'll also get a unique training about leadership that only Utah missionaries get. I truly believe that the Utah missions are one way the Lord prepares the future leaders of the church. You'll work alot with bishops, stake presidents, and area seventies. Several apostles live in the mission, and it's not uncommon to bump into a seventy at the dry cleaners or at Burger King. Also you're gonna baptize, usually every month. Spanish missionaries usually baptize anywhere between 30-70 people, which is awesome. So you get to see the fruits of your labor. You get to go to general conference and sit on like the second row and meet a bunch of apostles. You get to go to the temple every p-day (which is Tuesday). Anyways, I'm just throwing out random bits of information as they come to me. All in all, the mission rocks.
